Downrigger Repair & Warranty Service
John’s Sporting Goods provides general repair and warranty repair to Scotty and Penn downriggers. We also have a limited supply of parts for Cannon downriggers.
Scotty warranty repair is only for the original owner of a Scotty downrigger. To obtain either warranty service or regular service bring your downrigger to John’s Sporting Goods. You can also mail your downrigger directly to John’s Sporting Goods.
We can clean, repair and install new cable on your downrigger and do general repairs as needed. If your downrigger needs a complete rebuild we all have the parts in stock to complete that service. We regularly run specials on cleaning and installing cable or braided line on Scotty downriggers. Braided downrigger line is highly recommended. We recommend installing 300ft of 200lb braided downrigger line on most downriggers. Braided line will not work on Cannon downriggers.
